Our services will be offered through a new partnership
with archivsuisse, a specialist provider of tailor-made archiving services throughout Switzerland.
This partnership means that Piql’s services are now available to all archivsuisse clients, an impressive collection of public and private archives, federal agencies and libraries.
This expansion to the Swiss market builds on Piql’s success and growth throughout Europe. Rune Bjerkestrand, Managing Director of Piql said that was an exciting step forward into a market Piql has been looking into for some time.
“We are thrilled to partner with such an experienced business already providing best practice solutions to the Switzerland’s archives,” he said.
Dr. Christophe v. Werdt, Managing Director of archivsuisse said that he was excited to offer his clients such an innovative digital preservation technology.
“We have the highest focus on security and safety of our clients’ information and this technology fits perfectly into that,’ he said.
The announcement came as Piql’s research partner the Norwegian Computing Centre presented on a new and exciting research and development project, called the immortal virtual machine (iVM) at the DLM Annual General Meeting in Bern.
